Veterinary Assistant

Amy

Amy was raised on a farm in Illinois. Although there were all types of animals, cats have always been her passion. She relocated to North Carolina in 1991 and began working in veterinary medicine. Amy joined the Cat Clinic in 1998 and enjoyed 11 years nursing felines until 2010 when she left briefly to work with cats and dogs hoping to help cats feel more comfortable and welcome in a mixed practice. There just weren't enough cats around, so Amy returned in 2014 to rejoin us here in the "catmosphere" and to enjoy her career as one of the cat whisperers. As you might guess, Amy has a few cats around her house, most of them being rescues and kitties with special needs. She is also blessed with a wonderful daughter, Sophia, and a sweet doggie, Yeager. When not feeding, medicating and scooping, Amy enjoys movies and hiking with friends.
