Dr. Mark Silvers
graduated in 1985 as part of the first class at North Carolina State’s
College of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to receiving his DVM, he had
been a metallurgical engineer for 15 years. He opened the Cat Clinic
in 1989 after recognizing a need for specialized feline care in
the area. He has a special interest in geriatric medicine. Dr. Mark
has 2 cats at home, Bart and Louie, and also cares for a lovable
Boxer named Ned.
Dr. Katherine Beachy received
her training at the Ohio State University College of Veterinary
Medicine and moved to North Carolina to join the Cat Clinic. Her
goal had always been to specialize in feline medicine and while
in school, she worked in research, studying the Feline Leukemia
Virus. She has received post-graduate specialized training in ultrasound
imaging. Dr. Katy has 4 cats at home – Bubba, Biscuit, Leo
and Smitty along with her husband Kevin, her daughter, Alexa Leigh,
and her new son Logan Tyler.
Dr. Elizabeth Brumback Eilers
graduated from North Carolina State’s College of Veterinary
Medicine. After graduation she worked in a small animal hospital
for 3 years in Wilmington, NC. She recently moved back from California
where she worked at a 24-hour animal emergency clinic. She is a
native of Greensboro and joined the Cat Clinic in 2003. She shares
her home with her husband and 2 feline friends, Blizzard and Clark,
as well as a happy-go-lucky lab mix named Velzy.
